Hey Angels! Im super excited to talk to you all about my morning skin routine. I know that women (and men) all over are constantly looking for new and improved skincare routines. I know that for me, I've struggled in my adult life with breakouts. Some people get tiny pimples here and there, but I get angry ones...you know the kind that get red and hurt. I wasn't putting up with that! You know...they hurt...then they scar. Hot mess!
I've found that one of the major mistakes people make when searching for skincare products, is that we don't pay attention to what our skin needs. We often will jump straight to a high end product; one that we see a celebrity use (whether we can afford it or not). I have sensitive skin. Because of this, I can tell within days if a certain product is going to be a no-go. I'll usually break out into tiny hives on my eyelids or I'll get dry patches in various spots on my face. Sometimes I get really lucky and get both. Let me stop and say this: it is also SUPER important to realize that your skin's needs change! Just because one regimen works for a certain period of time, doesn't mean that this is all your skin will ever need forever.
Ok, now on to the good stuff. I currently use just 3 products in my morning skincare. This takes me about 5-6 minutes. Thats all! First I start with Neutrogena® Oil-Free Acne Wash. I put a dime-sized drop on my wet Clarsonic® Mia and scrub in a clockwise motion for about 2 minutes. After this, I rinse all of the soap off my face. I then will grab a cotton ball and apply the Glow2OH™ Dark Spot Toner by OLEHENRIKSEN®. It smells so good and it leaves my skin so dewy afterwards. I also love that its a dark spot corrector..because as I stated earlier, I definitely have some old acne scars that I need to be gone.
Last, but certainly not least, I moisturize. This is so important for me because the acne products tend to be harsher and more drying. I currently use jojoba oil. Thats it. Nothing super fancy. Just plain jojoba oil. I take a dab..like a half dime-sized amount and massage that into my skin. My face glows after these simple steps. Its kept my acne at bay and I feel great! I'll make sure to keep you all updated on if my routine changes. I'll also make sure to let y'all in on my evening skincare routine!
